History

The best time to visit is between April to November, when the climate is pleasant and it is not so cold. In winters, the temperature hovers between 10 to 20 degrees many a times, even goes down to negative. While in peak summers the temperature hits as high as 32 degree Celsius. How to Reach

Although the town is just 77 km away from the Queen of Hills, Shimla, yet the city seems almost part of the other world. The town is well connected by road to various cities. The nearest airport closest to Kasauli is at Chandigarh. The closest railway station is at Kalka which is around 40 km away from the city. Other than this, there is great connectivity between Kasauli and other parts of north India like Shimla, Delhi and Chandigarh and there is a frequent bus services through Himachal Pradesh Transport.
